Our LDW Tradition

The Shinnicock Nation's Pow-Wow has been a Labor Day Weekend Tradition, this year is the 66th Annual Pow-Wow! Luke and I have attended the Pow-Wow with friends for the last few years. It has become a tradition for us, to say good-bye to another fabulous summer season in the Hamptons, by attending the Shinnicock Nation's Annual Pow-Wow.
Luke & I at the 2012 Pow- Wow. We stand in front of a man-man teepee This structure took members of the tribe two weeks to construct. It is absolutely incredible! Even though we have attended the Pow-Wow for years, this was the first opportunity I had to explore the inside of this structure, and it is absolutely incredible!
Here I am pictured with  friends Stacey, Lacey and  Native Boy David dressed in a Traditional Outfit.  This picture was taken just before the Grand Entrance and the Dance Competition.

Even getting married the day before couldn't stop us from attending  the 2011 Pow- Wow!

I absolutely adore this picture of Luke & I back at Scrub Oaks...

I love that a promise that was made sitting around this bon-fire, to say good-bye to each  summer season, by attending the Shinnicock Nation's Annual Pow-Wow, has been kept.
